When you save as a tiff file it will save both layers but for Amazon you want a jpeg so “save as” a jpeg. Using the arrow tool you can now move your image around to centre it onto the bottom layer. You should now have two layers (hopefully)? The background layer (default layer) below should now be white with the image layer above which you have cut around. Yep, cut the image from the photo background using the lasso tool but do not paste what’s left onto a new white background. +When you say ‘If you have cut the image from the background’ do you mean cut out the image from the original background using the lasso tool and the pasting it onto a new white background? or do you mean cutting out the image using a box and then pasting onto a new white background?+ You may already know but if not any digital photo will automatically save at 20% grey, so white will always have a grey look about it. Change to the new layer with the image and cut from the background - As you cut away the white layer below will be shown. It should then go white - If not select the paint bucket and change colour to white as above and fill the area. If you haven’t cut the image from the background but you want to Duplicate the layer - select the background layer then select the whole image using the box tool and delete. If you have cut the image from the background create a new layer - Select the paint bucket - go to the colour box and click on it, this will open the colour pallet - Where it shows boxes for R G B (in a line down) input 255 - 255 - 255 (or just click on the top left hand corner which will be near enough). This will change the background to 255 white. If you haven’t cut out the item from the background and want to make the background white (assuming the photo was taken with a white background) go to Image - Adjustments - Levels - Then select the picker or the right (white) - Go to the photo and select the background and click.
